Mandali School Project

In 2015 Nepal was rocked by a series of earthquakes measuring up to 8.1, the devastation that followed killed and injured tens of thousands, obliterated infrastructure and brought untold hardship to a unique and beautiful country.
Throughout all this the selfless and welcoming nature of the Nepalese people has continued, but they need our help.
Rebuilding Mandali School was an idea born out of the first hand experience of the devastation, witnessed by those involved in this ongoing project.
The aim with the help of volunteers and local workers is to rebuild 3 classrooms and provide the village of Deurali with a place of education for future generations.
Through the diligence of those involved nearly 3000 pounds has already been raised and great progress has been made.
I will be running the Birmingham half marathon on October 16th, with the aim of raising 200 pounds. My goal is to finish under 1hr 43mins.
My contribution pales in insignificance to the hard work that has been done by those behind this project, but I hope my run and this blog will highlight the urgency needed in providing the funds to rebuild the fledgling infrastructure of this amazing country.
Great work has already been done to promote the cause online by Keith Dickson, and those with a few spare moments please follow the link above and see the good work already being done.
If you feel compelled to donate or help in anyway, follow the contact information and get involved.
Donations for this project can be given through a fantastic crowdfunding site set up by Sarah Dickson and her eager and motivated group of friends, who are giving their all to rebuild this school. You will find the outline and details of the project and progress to date on the links provided below and above:
